Let’s begin by taking a moment to introduce yourself.
My name is Tanisha L Bowman. I am originally from Detroit, Michigan. I lived in Thomaston Ga for 30 years and recently moved to the Henry County area.
When did you move to South Atlanta, and what are your favorite family activities in South Atlanta?
I’ve been in the area for two years. I love taking my grandson to Dave & Buster’s. My husband and I love several of the local restaurants.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or the corporate world?
I’m a retired business owner. I love to feed your $5 habit. The name of my business is Major Bling by Tanisha. I am also a motivational speaker, life coach, and the founder of BrokeCan.
What is your favorite part about what it is that you do?
I love accessorizing women with an affordable product, and I love to empower women and remind them that anything is possible if you trust God.
What advice do you have for other women?
I love to remind women that self-care and self-love is important. Also, as women, we should always find ways to complete and complete. Connections and networking are very important.
Best advice you’ve received from another mom?
Be honest with your kids. The truth is not always pretty, but they deserve to know.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
People would be surprised to know that I love spoken word. I love to listen to it, and I love to write it.
What else do you do to take care of yourself?
Prayer and listening to God relaxes my mind. I love a hot bubble bath.
