- Guides and advises employees regarding the retirement process by creating a benefit estimate, assisting the employee with the application process, submitting documents to the defined benefit plan administrator; advises the employee on retiree insurance options; informs retirees of changes to benefits plans and contributions; submits salary statements of vested former employees to the Defined Benefit (DB) plan administrator.
- Handles employee separations and terminations including resignations and dismissals; prepares dismissal notices, prepares all documents for the terminated employee including separation notice, benefits information, defined benefit contribution return forms, COBRA notices, notifications to insurance carrier to cancel coverages.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for employee leaves of absence, including determining eligibility; creates employee leave files and ensures all necessary documentation is provided or received; tracks FMLA or IFMLA hours against available balance; transitions employees from one leave type to another as applicable, including changes in benefits eligibility.
- Partners with management to address employee relations issues; researches and recommends training or other developmental opportunities for employees and management; conducts internal investigations as appropriate; makes recommendations in line with Authority policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations; assists management in drafting and delivering disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
- Maintains and updates employee personnel files for employees in the Authority’s Human Resources Information System; ensures transactions impacting payroll are processed in accordance with payroll cycle deadlines; enters and tracks performance reviews and generates evaluation forms to managers and supervisors; reviews completed performance evaluations prior to employee meeting to ensure compliance with Authority standards; enters data on disciplinary actions taken; works with the Safety and Security Manager to enter and maintain training records.
- Assists in the oversight of workers compensation claims from the first report of injury; follows and files work status reports; provide information to the insurance company regarding compensation; work with managers and supervisors on restricted duty accommodations to expedite return to work for the injured employee.
- Analyzes monthly benefits premium billing statements; identifies and resolves billing discrepancies; reconciles Authority premium contributions against payroll deductions; creates P.O. for payment of billing statements, makes payment arrangements and tracks premium payments for employees in without-pay status; creates invoices for premium payments and other re-payments to the Authority by employees.
- Works with managers, supervisors, and employees to maintain and update job description file.
- Develops communication pieces and presentations for a variety of Human Resources topics.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university with a major in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field; at least five years of progressively responsible human resource management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications in applicable areas of Human Resources are highly desirable.

The Land Management Technician II performs a wide variety of duties involved in landscaping maintenance of reservoir grounds, maintenance of reservoir dams, and construction and maintenance of trails, docks, and structures at HCWA reservoirs. - Performs skilled and semiskilled construction work such as building boardwalks, decking, railing, painting, repairing fencing and trail construction renovation.
- Under supervision, prepares and applies hazardous chemicals for pest and disease control on trees, shrubs, bushes, etc.

The individual in this full-time position reports directly to the Engineering Manager. The individual is required to exercise independent judgment and initiative while making sure that HCWA is in compliance with all local, State, and Federal guidelines for water, wastewater, and stormwater. Individual is required to prepare, evaluate, certify, review, maintain, and/or update plans, specifications, ordinances, and bid documents. Individual is required to perform and coordinate projects that entail the application of seasoned professional knowledge and experience in dealing with sensitive political issues along with valuation and negotiations issues, often under stringent project management deadlines. This position also requires extensive coordination with other regulatory agencies, such as the Metropolitan North GA Water Planning District, and working in a fast pace environment assuring that the highest level of productivity and accountability are maintained. Extensive verbal and written communication skills are a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for making sure that plans, specifications, rules, regulations, and ordinances conform to the intent of the Metro North GA Water Planning District (MNGWPD) long-term plans. Duties include attending meetings and implementing procedures as necessary for HCWA and Henry County compliance with MNGWPD water, wastewater, and stormwater plans.
- Responsible for ensuring that specifications and standards are in compliance and with GA EPD guidelines. Duties include periodically reviewing and updating HCWA standards and specifications and providing GA EPD with any required reporting to satisfy HCWA’s delegated authority and MNGWPD.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving plans, specifications, and hydrology studies prepared by consultants, developer’s engineers, or HCWA staff engineers. Duties include verification that designs, plats, estimates, specifications, and calculations meet HCWA, GA EPD, and general engineering standards.
- Responsible for providing assistance to various departments within HCWA, as needed. Duties may include performing periodic inspections of development projects, Annual Labor projects, or Capital Improvement Projects (CIP).
- Responsible for gathering and providing essential information necessary for various system audits. Duties include meeting with various staff members to obtain information such as standard operating procedures, capacity certification processes, source water protection ordinances, interconnection reliability, inspection processes, water/sewer standards, Non-Revenue Water ranges, etc.
- Responsible for assisting with the acquisition of any necessary easements or permits, such as GDOT, railroad, EPD, and/or U.S. Army Corps of Engineering permits. Duties include compiling and reviewing all necessary calculations and documents required for permitting.
- Responsible for tracking, assisting, and coordinating the progress, design, and construction of all (local and state) water/sewer line relocation projects. Duties include periodically attending and coordinating with GDOT, HCDOT, and Henry County SPLOST regarding water, wastewater, and stormwater conflicts.
- Required to attend various meetings with the public, developers, and/or other regulatory agencies, as required.
- Responsible for performing other related duties or special projects as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Four-year degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university; minimum of six (6) years of experience in water, wastewater, and/or stormwater fields; minimum of four (4) years in a position of planning or project management with supervisory experience; minimum of two (2) years of experience performing hydrology studies, stormwater modeling, floodplain evaluations, and/or watershed assessments; OR combination of education and experience listed above will be considered.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Georgia Driver’s License; GA Professional Engineer; Erosion & Sediment Control-Level 2 Certification (must be obtained within 12-months of hire); Water Distribution System Operation & Maintenance and Wastewater Collection Systems Operation & Maintenance License, a plus, but not required.

What does the Accounting and Building Support Specialist do?
- Perform accounting tasks including entering incoming checks into the system for proper internal controls, processing specific invoices with correct coding and routing for approvals, and auditing and approving Concur expense reports for payment.
- Perform month-end charge outs for photocopies, mail, etc., including journal entry
- Provide support to accounting processes by preparing garnishments, FSA payments, and HSA payments

- Maintain records of off-site storage facilities

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:
The Southern Regional Education Board’s (SREB) Office of School Improvement is seeking a candidate for a grant funded hybrid Program Coordinator (SEED Grant) candidate that will coordinate duties, projects and activities related to grant funded activities.
The Program Coordinator is a full-time position which is currently funded through September 2025. Continuation of this position is contingent upon acquisition of funding through grants or other external revenue sources.
What will the Program Coordinator (SEED Grant) do?
- Tracks developments in state- and national-level policy related to the program.
- Manages relationships with program members, partners, participants, and state agencies.
- Compiles and analyzes data for reporting, including charts and tables for the annual reports.
- Collaborates with program staff and partners to coordinate related meetings, conferences, and workshops. Works in collaboration with SREB Events Coordinator for external meetings or complex internal meetings.
- Works with the manager and Communications staff in the in developing or maintaining websites and other e-communication strategies.
- Provides technical assistance to program members and partners for the various program services.
- Assists with writing and editing briefs, reports, newsletters, flyers, brochures and other written communication.
- Responds to questions, both written and verbal, from program members and partners.
- Coordinates processes, reports, and agreements for program area.
- Maintains contacts database of individuals related to program.
- Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit’s service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a team.
What does it take to be a Program Coordinator (SEED Grant)?
Education and Experience:
