Clayton County Public Schools Will Maintain District Wide Mask Guidelines | South Atlanta Moms

As Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) continues to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the school system as well as Clayton County as a whole, district leadership will not loosen the district’s face mask guidelines at this time. This decision includes all district offices, school sites and facilities.

“While we are confident that individuals are capable of making the best decisions for themselves and their families relating to health and individual safety, Clayton County Public Schools will keep its current mask guidelines in place,” said Dr. Morcease J. Beasley, Superintendent/CEO of Schools. “We realize that the pandemic is not over and our responsibility is to the safety of our employees, students and families of Clayton County,” he added.

District leaders will continue to monitor local and state data, recommendations and mandates as the school system considers future actions related to the pandemic. All other district safety measures will also remain in place until further notice.
